Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses

for young people in Cambridgeshire

The workshops are free to participants. They are run by a volunteer committee, and are funded almost entirely by donations from university colleges, local businesses and individual donors. We receive a small amount of commission from Waterstones on books sold at the parents' reception. Trinity Hall provides a venue and refreshments free of charge, and the main costs are for administration and speakers, who are paid an honorarium.

We welcome donations, large and small, to help in the running of the workshops. Donations should be made payable to "Royal Institution Mathematics Workshops (Cambs)", and can be sent to our treasurer. We run an appeal roughly every three years to raise money for the next few series. Businesses interested in making a donation are invited to contact the treasurer.

The following individuals and organisations contributed to the last appeal in 2010:
Christ's College
Fitzwilliam College
Girton College
